A while ago a friend of mine was having a baby and I had the opportunity to host a baby shower for her and her son. She told me that she really wanted a Lion King themed room for her son. So knowing this, my friends and I ran out and bought the cutest Lion King baby shower decorations that we could find. For me, finding the decorations is half of the battle. How you present the decorations is just as (if not more) important. I began searching for ideas and remembered something I had come across months before on one of the blogs I follow. Ucreate is one of my favorite blogs. Kari and Becky always have such fun new ideas! For my project, I used their Sunburst Table Cloth Tutorial.
Now, as usual, I had to change things up a little bit to fit my needs. The thing I LOVE about this tutorial is that you do not need to follow it exactly as is. Just change the colors to meet the needs of the look or theme that you are going for. Also, I didn’t attach the tissue poufs to paper that made it look like a sun. Without the paper, it still looks elegant and more like a flower.
Keep in mind although this project looks easy, it is not without a struggle! It was very frustrating trying to sew the tissue onto the cloth. I had used plastic table cloths and these tear easily!
